He is Understanding and you, in Him, are Fully Known

It is Good Friday.  This is the day we remember what Jesus did for us by dying on the cross for our sins. From the beginning, God UNDERSTOOD that we would need a Savior to save us from our sins. By His grace, in the fullness of time, He sent Jesus into the world to live a life where He was tempted in every way yet without sin and then was sent to the cross to die to take the punishment that we deserve securing for us an inheritance in heaven with Him.  I have posted a song at the end that is so powerful called “The End of the Beginning.”  Listen to it.  It is vey powerful.  With that, let’s turn to who God is and who you are in Him.

Who is God? He is UNDERSTANDING.

He is compassionate, sympathetic, tender, kindhearted, patient, discerning, and all knowing.

Let’s look to His word:

Job 12:13

“With God are wisdom and might;

He has counsel and UNDERSTANDING.

Job 36:5

“Behold, God is mighty, and does not despise any;

He is mighty in strength of UNDERSTANDING.”

Proverb 2:6

“For the LORD gives wisdom;

from His mouth come knowledge and UNDERSTANDING.

Isaiah 40:28

“Have you not known? Have you not heard?

The LORD is the everlasting God,

the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He does not faint or grow weary;

His UNDERSTANDING is unsearchable.”

Who are you in Him? You are Fully Known.

The Lord is completely aware of what we are feeling and thinking at all times. He knows everything about us inside and out.  He knows that we are sinners in need of a Savior.  He knows that we are weak. He knows that we are needy.

Psalm 139:1-2

“O LORD, You have searched me and known me.

You know when I sit down and when I rise up;

You UNDERSTAND my thoughts from afar.”

I Chronicles 28:9

“The LORD searches all hearts and UNDERSTANDS every plan and thought if you seek Him, He will be found by you, but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.”

If you are unbelieving or waffling in your belief, may today be the day where the Lord lifts the blinders from your eyes and you see clearly who He is and who you are in Him.

I will post the songs “Fully Known” by Tauren Wells, “Be Still and Know” by Steven Curtis Chapman, and “End of the Beginning” by David Phelps.

Blessings to you.
