For His invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So all men are without excuse. Romans 1:20
While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease. Genesis 8:22
When Paul and I were dating, one of ‘our’ songs was ‘I Just Called to Say I Love You’ by Stevie Wonder. At that time, I was attending the University of Minnesota and Paul was finishing up high school in Waconia. We could not afford to call long distance because of how expensive it was, but we were desperate to hear one another’s voices. Many nights, Paul would drive to a pay phone about 10 minutes from his house and stand in the bitter cold to call me and he would often say, “Hey Heath, I just called to say I love you.” Little did we know then that much of our married life would be spent apart due to Paul flying all over the world, but even so, he still calls every day to say that he loves me. As I have thought of that song by Stevie Wonder, it reminds me of the above verses that God is clearly seen in every month and season and in each He calls to us, “I love you! I am showing you who I am! Do you see Me?”
Isn’t that a sweet song? No wonder it was on our list of ‘love songs.’
I love the change of the seasons and see His beauty on display in each one. I enjoy following Him by decorating our home to reflect what He is doing outside. Below are pictures of God’s creation and my attempts to reflect that in our home.
His beauty on display in Summer!

you see for yourselves
and know that the summer is already near.
Luke 21:30

His beauty on Display in Autumn!

the early rain and the later rain,
that you may gather in your grain and your wine and your oil.
Deuteronomy 11:14

His Beauty on Display in Winter!

and cold from the scattering winds.
By the breath of God ice is given,
and the broad waters are frozen fast
.Job 37:9-10

His Beauty on Display in Spring!

The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come,
and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.”
Song of Solomon 2:11-12

The song below is a favorite about the seasons. May it bless you!
Blessings to you,
Heather
