Recently, I have thought afresh about the fact that God is with us all the time. He is with us in the highs and lows of marriage and parenting. He is with us in the highs and lows of work and ministry. He is with us as we grieve. He is with us!!!!
Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us). Matthew 1:2
Years ago, when potty training my oldest daughter, I heard her reciting Joshua 1:9 which says, ” Have I not commanded you, be strong and courageous, do not be terrified, do not discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you all the time, even on the potty.” At the tender age of 2, Elizabeth knew this truth with absolute confidence. (How can this two year old be a married mother of two now?)

Who is God the Son?
He is Immanuel!
Who are you in Him?
You are never alone because He is with you!
Let’s Pray!
- Monday – Pray for your family: parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews.
- Children – If a parent, pray for your children. If not, pray for children that are dear to you.
- Spouse – If married, pray your spouse’s financial wisdom. If not, pray for your friend’s marriages.
- Yourself – Praise the Lord that Jesus with you; that He is your Immanuel. Pray that the Lord would draw you close this advent season.
For those of you that are curious, Mabel, our little Christmas kitten, is doing great!
