When You are Kind

Ephesians 4:32

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

I am sitting on the porch of our cabin and have watched my husband work hard all morning trying to pull out a concrete slab that was, at one point, the base of a lamp post down by the dock. He had almost succeeded, but realized that the post still had electricity going to it and wisely decided to wait until our electrician son arrives later this afternoon to help him. Now, he is resting on the dock soaking in the sun. He is a good man. I snapped a quick photo of him at rest:

This last week, I was listening to ‘Revive Our Hearts’, a daily radio program, and was encouraged to take up a 30 day challenge of being kind to one person. You can listen to the episodes here if you want. They are very good and encouraging. (https://www.reviveourhearts.com/podcast/revive-our-hearts/season/kindness-challenge-shaunti-feldhahn/).

I have chosen my husband. Who would like to join me? Comment below is you would.

Here are the rules:

  1. Don’t say ANYTHING negative to your husband or about your husband to someone else.
  2. Say something positive to your husband as well as about your husband to someone else every day.
  3. Do one act of kindness every day.

Let’s see what the Lord would be pleased to do in our marriages this month.
