When You Pray
Matthew 6:6
When you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
Today is Thursday. Would you please join me in praying?

When You Read God’s Word
Psalm 119:9-11
9 How can a young man keep his way pure?
By guarding it according to your word.
10 With my whole heart I seek you;
let me not wander from your commandments!
11 I have stored up your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you.
I have used several different plans to read through the Bible in a year. My favorite and the one that I have used most often is the Robert M’Cheyne plan. He lived only 29 years, but his life was lived well. (https://www.mcheyne.info/his-life/)
The chart below shows where I read today. With pen in hand, I put to paper what each passage had to say about who God is, who I am in Him, what His promises are, what His blessings are, and what His commands are.
| Scripture | Who God Is | Who I am in Him | Promises | Blessings | Command |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Joshua 3 | vs. 10 He is the Living God. | vs. 7 I will be with you. | |||
| Psalm 126 | vs. 4 Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy. vs. 5 He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy. | ||||
| Psalm 127 | vs. 2 Beloved | vs. 2 He gives to His beloved sleep. | vs. 5 Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with children. | ||
| Psalm 128 | vs. 1 Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways. | ||||
| Isaiah 63 | vs. 1 Mighty to Save vs. 7 Compassionate & Abundant in His steadfast love vs. 8 Savior vs. 9 & 16 Redeemer | ||||
| Matthew 11 | vs. 28 Giver of Rest, Gentle & Lowly in Heart. | vs. 28 At Rest | vs. 6 Blessed is the one not offended by Jesus. | vs. 28 Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. |
When You Set Your Mind
Philippians 4:8
Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Let’s look at the truths above and set our minds on them.
Your Savior is the Living God. He is compassionate and abundant in His steadfast love for you. He is gentle and lowly. You are His beloved and in Him, you find rest. He promises that He is with you and that as you sow tears, you shall reap joy. You are blessed as you walk in His ways. May you come to Him, you who are weary and heavy laden and He will give you rest.
When You Worship
Blessings to you,
Heather
