How to Put Together a Prayer Pack – Pocket 4 – Children & Grandchildren

What a sweet privilege it is to pray for our children and grandchildren whether a parent or grandparent or not.  If you do not have children, I encourage to pray for the children the Lord has placed in your midst; nieces, nephews, Sunday School kids, students, etc. I like to pray an attribute over my all my children and grandchildren each day using a similar calendar as I do for my husband.  See it below:

Along with praying these things, generally, over all of my children each day, I pray individually for each of my five children split up over the week.  Monday, I pray for my daughter Elizabeth, her husband, Mauricio and their two little ones; Lucas & Caleb.  Tuesday, I pray for James.  Wednesday, I pray for Jacob.  Thursday, I pray for Meredith.  Friday, I pray for Gwendolyn. On their particular day, I try to check in with them and ask for prayer requests either by phone or text.  This has worked so well.  My main prayer is that all of them would be walking with Him.  “For there is no greater joy than hearing that our children are walking with Him (3 John 1:4). “

John 3:16 says, “For God (the Father) so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.”  So, in Christ, we eternally belong to the Father. I John 3:1 says, “See what kind of love (He gave His only Son) the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. “Christ Jesus (God’s only Son) is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us (Romans 8:34).” Jesus is, at this moment, praying and interceding for us. Isn’t that amazing?  If He is praying for us, then we ought to be praying for our children and grandchildren, those little ones who are our heritage. Psalm 127:3 says, “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord.”

Here are the songs “You Say Who I Am” by Hillsong and “Children of God” by Steven Curtis Chapman.

Blessings to you as you pray for your children.
