He is exalted and in Him, you are to be Humble

I am feeling so weary this afternoon for a variety of reasons, but mostly due to lack of sleep and feeling a let down from having such a lovely Resurrection Sunday.  Everything feels all jumbled up.  I am wondering if any of you are feeling similarly?  This situation in the world has certainly humbled us, hasn’t it (or I hope it has)?  We are not in control of anything. In a matter of days, the Lord, who is eXalted above the heavens and who is in control of everything, has stripped away all the things that feel normal and it’s wonderful and unsettling all at the same time.  I feel unsettled today. So, let’s do what we have done the last four weeks and set our mind on things that are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, excellent, and worthy of praise by reminding ourselves of who God is and who we are in Him.

Who is God, the Father? He is eXalted.

Psalm 18:46

“The LORD lives, and blessed be my rock, and eXalted be the God of my salvation.”

Psalm 46:10

“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be eXalted among the nations, I will be eXalted in the earth!”

Acts 5:31

“God eXalted Him at His right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.”

Hebrews 7:26

“For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, unstained, separated from sinners, and eXalted above the heavens.”

Who are you in Him? You are to be humble.

Matthew 23:12

Whoever eXalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be eXalted.

I Peter 5:5-6

“Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you.”

Here are the songs, ‘He is eXalted.’ By Maranatha Singers and ‘eXalted’ by Chris Tomlin

Blessings to you!
