He is the Creator and You are Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

Today is my Meredith Joy’s 16th birthday. I am so thankful that Lord created her and gave her to our family. She has a zest for life and does her best to live each day to its fullest. She is filled with wisdom coupled with a great sense of humor.  I love her to pieces.

Today I want to focus once again on who God is and who you are in Him.

Who is God?

He is almighty.

He is beautiful.

He is the CREATOR!

Who are you in Him?

You are safe in His almighty arms.

You are a reflector of His beauty.

You are fearfully and wonderfully created.

God’s word from verse 1 is full of references to the fact that God is the CREATOR.  Here are just few:

Genesis 1:1

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Colossians 1:6

For by Him all things were created, both in the heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities–all things have been created through Him and for Him.

Romans 1:20

For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made.

He is clearly seen in what He has made. At this moment, I see Him in how He made my fingers to type, I see Him in the sun sparkling through the clouds, I see Him in how He made my children, each so different from each other but each made in His image.  I see Him in the birds that have returned from their winter migration, I see Him in the little shoots of green grass that are sticking up through freshly fallen snow.  I see Him everywhere when I look for Him.  May you take time today to once again put your pen to paper and write down where you see Him. Keeping your eyes fixed on Him as opposed to keeping your eyes fixed on the news will boost your spirits during this time when things seem so ominous.

On March 14, my oldest daughter Elizabeth gave birth to her second born son, Caleb Emmanuel. He is absolutely precious; an amazing creation. The verses from Psalm 139 rang true as I cuddled him in my arms this last week.

Psalm 139:13-16

For you formed my inward parts;

You knitted me together in my mother’s womb.

I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

Wonderful are your works;

my soul knows it very well.

My frame was not hidden from you,

when I was being made in secret,

intricately woven in the depths of the earth.

Your eyes saw my unformed substance;

in your book were written, every one of them,

the days that were formed for me,

when as yet there was none of them.

These are wonderful truths to cling to…the Lord formed you, He knit you together in your mother’s womb, you are fearfully and wonderfully made, your days are known from the moment of your conception to the moment of your death.  He is in charge.

I hope this encourages you today.

I put a link for two songs: All Things Bright and Beautiful and For the Beauty of the Earth

Blessings to you!

When you pray…

Also, if you would like to join me today in praying for yourself and immediate family as well as your immediate extended family (grandparents, siblings, nieces & nephews), that would be great!
